Westernaires is a precision mounted drill riding group, this blog was used to record my time at Westernaires. I leased a 21 year old quarter horse draft mix named Bo. Prior I rented and rode Stretch, Chey, and GoldDust. My teams were T1, J1 (Top Junior),White Star (Captain), Colorado Stampede (Captain), Nighthorse Rangers, Royal Rangers, Red Liberty, Red Ropes, White Vaulting, White Batons, Jr. Instructor, and Jr. Wrangler. I now ride on the Evergreen Drill Team since I graduated in 2017
Sally was a sweet girl poor baby
ReplyDeleteI know :( she coliced last year at Estes 2014 too. She seemed particularly prone to it
DeleteI think she rode Crimson I feel so bad for her rider
DeleteYeah that has to suck
DeleteAWWW only fourteen so youngg
ReplyDeleteTurbo coliced while I was riding him. Yeah. I rode him and groomed him for J2. Mom says he'll be okay. He rolled while I was grooming him, while I was on him, was SUPER sensitive while I was grooming, and bit the wrangler who tightened his cinch on the butt... HARD. Poor baby.
ReplyDeleteI saw that!!!! I was right there when that happened. Glad to hear he will be all right. The changing seasons always cause colic in quite a few horses
Deletewhy?
ReplyDeleteThe weather changes their digestion a little bit. Cold makes you constrict. So sometimes it can cause colic
